Degustation
The Cuban cigar experience should be appreciated via all the senses. It is a holistic experience. Take your time and get to know your companion, you are going to spend a relaxing 'moment' with him. The smoke will evolve in, typically, three phases. The first phase, 'The Start', will see heat causing the flavors to amplify. The second phase, 'The Body', will see the power steadily develop and allow the flavors to be at their richest, this is what I like to call 'the ideal time'. The Third phase, 'The Finish', will see the climax on the power front and the smoke will be hotter. Don't crush your cigar out, allow him to go out with dignity. Most importantly, gently draw, relax and enjoy the moment ! (please find below some terms that will help you discover your smokes)
