In Cigar Aficionado's March/April 2023 edition, this cigar was given an impressive rating of 90.
I remember eating clay as a treatment in a spa in Southern Spain, it tasted, for want of a better comparison, like a Diplomaticos No.2! I liked it! Some might not. But I did! The taste of reminded me of smoked Austrian cheese! The texture of the No.2's smoke is prickly and thick in the mouth and spicy on the tongue. Again, as with most of the Diplomaticos line, the cigar is strong, verging on harsh and the stick needs to be tended to by a seasoned smoker. Give yourself time to smoke this cigar, it is big and long! The Torpedo dimensions of the cigar mean that the draw, burn, ventilation and suction of the cigar are optimum. Both cigars, the Monte No.2 and the Diplo No.2, are available at Topcubans.com.
